Terrific Tuesday

Yesterday was yet another snow day, at this point I've lost count there have been so many. My mom offered keep my kids for a few hours yesterday (thankyouthankyou) so I could get a few things finished. I went around 5pm to pick up the kids and unfortunately due to a miscommunication we had to rush to basketball practice. What little I had prepared for dinner sat on the stovetop and we (the whole fam) ate pizza & cake at basketball, they were celebrating their last practice as a team. <whomp whomp!> So we will try again today!!

The good news is the kids have school, the sun is shining, and I heard a rumor that warmer temperatures are heading our way soon. Hallelujah!

More later!

Savannah's Breakfast 2-10-14

Hi its me again..Savannah. I'm here to tell you about my heathy breakfast. Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs, vanilla yogurt with sprinkles (birthday cake is what my four year old brother calls it!) and grapes. I drink hot tea and this flavor is raspberry.  I give this breakfast a thumbs-up!!

Normally for breakfast I would eat cereal, pancakes, or peanut butter & jelly toast.
Have fun and hope you like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome to my blog!  I am deeply passionate about helping my family stay healthy and I love to research blogs, Pinterest, and health articles that give me inspiration. I have complied tons of information over the years and I know what my family should be doing/eating, but I tend to "forget" or I don't follow through. Hopefully, by blogging it will keep me accountable!

I mentioned to my seven-year old daughter today that I'd like to give blogging a try and to my surprise she was extremely excited!  My daughter Savannah will also guest post on the new foods and things we will be trying. I am looking forward to blogging with her!

As I said I have done a ton of research on eating healthy and I happened upon a great article on FourFitSisters.com that discussed how they were lead to eating "Food only from the Earth".  I LOVED that! So simple!! As I got my shopping list together for the week, I found recipes and snacks that my family could try that would be only Food from the Earth. I will post pictures and recipes of what meals we try throughout the week. I did not throw out any food that does not come from the earth so we will slowly get rid of those foods, which should be easy with my four-year old son!

For some reason I have it in my head that eating healthy is easier (and cheaper) when it is warm out, and we live in the Midwest. Right now it is super cold and snowy!! ICK!! Thanks for stopping by and I will post our meals tomorrow.  Savannah will also post, giving the food a thumbs-up or thumbs-down based on a seven year olds point of view.
